Labradors are people-oriented dogs, always ready for a jog around the neighborhood, a strenuous hike or an endless game of fetch. Labs are reliable, willing and patient. Labs are easily trained, being naturally patient and obedient, but they are probably not the best guard dogs.

If you like playing fetch (and, especially if you like playing it for hours), you’ll love having a Golden Retriever. Golden retrievers are loaded with confidence and good vibes. They are not particularly aggressive, territorial, manipulative or destructive.

Easily trained, Yorkshire Terriers have a keen ability to remember multiple commands and adopt many obedience skills. Yorkies get along very well with children, but they don’t have the patience for the sudden moves and rough play of very small ones.

Boston Terriers have a unique personality that sets them apart from Jack Russells, Airedales, Cairns and other terriers. Boston Terriers get along with the whole family and other household pets (especially like-minded Boston Terriers).

Weimaraners are devoted and loving members of the family. But they are not the type of dog to follow rote commands or have predictable habits. These dogs are eager to please and will follow commands, but they also have needs and demands that must be met for the relationship to work.
